Spoilers in this book review (not gonna do it for all of them just this one)
Noggin is essentially a book about a big friend zone. However, this is not to take away from the importance of the plot. This book really takes their characters and their goals and/or dreams and run with it. You can tell that the characters in this book are different in the end than from the beginning and it's pretty cool to be honest. You can see it from the dialogue and what they do.
This book is about a teen who dies (16 yo) and is brought back to life 5 years later. His head was frozen and put on somebody else's body. The person who had the body first is named Jeremy Pratt. Travis (the boy who was brought back to life) realizes that the world isn't the same as it was before. And oh my God, there are so many plot twists in this book I couldn't keep up. Not to say it's bad but John Whaley does not fail to surprise me. But to get on with the plot Travis finds out his girlfriend from when he was alive, Cate, is getting married. Can John win her back before it's too late? Just kidding that was pretty cheesy but John is obviously a superb writer.
To end it off, this book was pretty good. However, the ending wasn't too good. The last couple pages. At least for me, it was good from a story telling narrative but it just didn't do me. Also, give Travis a break Jesus Christ every page something bad happens to him leave him alone. It felt like Travis had too many ups and not too many downs. But overall, I'd give this book a good 4.5/5 Rowlings. Also, if you have any suggestions for a book email me at siahlegend@gmail.com
I await your head...
